Sea water levels around Korea forecast to rise during 2 'Super Moon' phases in August
  • 5 years ago
We're expected to see the so-called "Super Moon" twice in August, ...from August 1st to the 4th... and August 30th to September the 2nd.
The phenomenon takes place when the moon is closer to the Earth than usual.
Experts say sea levels around the Korean Peninsula are expected to rise to a nine-year high to the gravitational effect of the Super Moon.
Water levels in some part of the country are expected to rise to an 'alert' level advanced warning,… the second highest warning.
People near the shore are advised to be extra careful at night and at dawn, when sea levels are at their highest.
