U.S. strongly supports S. Korea, Japan's response to 'airspace incursions': Yonhap

The U.S. says it strongly supports South Korea and Japan's response to the (quote)"airspace incursions" by Russian and Chinese warplanes.
Replying to a query by Seoul-based Yonhap News... Pentagon spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Dave Eastburn said the U.S. Department of Defense is in close coordination with its South Korean and Japanese allies... and will continue to monitor activities as it follows up with its Russian and Chinese counterparts through diplomatic channels.
He added that the U.S. commitment to the defense of its allies is ironclad.
