Gov't to designate 13th century fortress Hangyesanseong as cultural heritage

The government plans to designate a thirteenth-century mountain fortress in Gangwon-do Province as a cultural heritage.
The Cultural Heritage Administration says it will decide whether to add the ( )Inje Hangyesanseong to the national heritage list after collecting public opinion until the end of this month.
The fortress was built during the Goryeo Dynasty to fend off Mongolian invaders.
In 2014 and 2015, relics and parts of buildings from the Joseon to Goryeo Dynasties were found at the site during excavation work.
