Japan should make first move and lift export controls against S. Korea: Bloomberg

"Foolish and hopeless" is what Bloomberg is calling the trade war that Japan has launched against South Korea.
In an editorial Monday,... Bloomberg wrote that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is abusing trade policy by using it to resolve a political dispute.
It said... Tokyo is clearly retaliating against South Korea for its court rulings ordering Japanese firms to compensate the victims of wartime forced labor.
The agency added that such move is hypocritical for a leader like Abe... who's been praised for strengthening the international trade order.
Bloomberg added that, through the export curbs, Japanese suppliers will lose market share as well as their reputation for reliability... and that Japan should make the the first move in lifting the export controls.
