The government has approved a new app that will allow people to share a cab in Seoul.
The so-called "Half-Half Taxi," will allow two users to share the same cab between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m., in nearly half of the 25 districts in Seoul.
Only passengers of the same gender and similar destination will be allowed to use the service.
They will split their fare, but how it will be split is yet to be determined.
The new app will put an end to a near 40-year ban on cab-sharing.
