Top officials from South Korea's tech giant Samsung Electronics may visit Japan to meet with local businessmen... amid escalating trade tensions between Seoul and Tokyo.
Local reports say that Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong has had multiple meetings with key officials of Samsung's semiconductor arm,... and is considering a visit to Japan as early as Sunday.
Lee also recently met Masayoshi Son -- CEO of Japan's SoftBank Group -- and the two sides reportedly discussed the matter of Japan's export restrictions.
Samsung officials however,... declined to comment on Lee's schedule.
