The pause in the monsoon rain has brought sweeping heatwaves across the nation.
Today wasn't stinging, as the sun was covered up in blankets of clouds, but tomorrow will be different,... in fact, it will be hotter with the sun shining right over our heads.
With the mercury expected to soar higher than today,... a heatwave advisory has been issued in the capital Seoul for Thursday.
So if you are outside, make sure to catch a break in the shade and drink lots of water to stay hydrated.
As we start off the day,... temperatures will mostly be within 19 to 21 degrees Celsius,...
Seoul and Busan will be kicking off at 21 degrees,... while Chuncheon is slightly lower at 19.
Some regions will see a 10 degree jump into the day,...
with Seoul topping out at 32 degrees, Daegu 34 and Gyeongju at 33 degrees.
Currently, the monsoon front is lingering in the far south,... and it's expected to track back up this weekend,... but it won't make it up high enough and only bring a light drizzle.
The rest of the country can expect hotter conditions under clear skies throughout the weekend.
