FM Kang expected to give lawmakers snippets of info about recent Kim-Trump meeting

Attention is on what South Korea's top diplomat will share today with the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee about last weekend's DMZ meeting between the leaders of North Korea and the U.S.
The meeting will take place in under two hours with Foreign Affairs Minister Kang Kyung-wha and Unification Minister Kim Yeon-chul fielding questions from lawmakers.
With the Blue House having said the U.S. briefed Kang on the details of the meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong-un,... today's session is likely to focus on such questions.
Japan's recently-announced economic measures against South Korea for its top court's ruling on fo rced wartime labor and Seoul's countermeasures are also expected to come up.
