Korea's agriculture ministry is encouraging the voluntary registration of pets from July to August.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, …those who register their pets or modify the information of registered animals during the two-month period will be exempt from fines.
Currently, pet owners in Korea are required to register dogs over three months of age.
Starting September, local governments will crack down on unregistered animals and impose fines.
Registration and modification of information can be done through public offices, designated agencies and animal-dot-g-o-dot-k-r.
