President Trump's hawkish national security adviser John Bolton was not spotted at Panmunjeom when the leaders of the two Koreas and the U.S. had their historic encounter on Sunday.
Later in the day, he tweeted he was happy to be in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and that he looks forward to discussing the shared economic and security objectives of the two countries.
Trump lauded the very crucial work Bolton had carried out while he sat down for summit talks with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, but didn't specify what role he had played.
