Returning from his week-long tour of Scandinavian countries, President Moon Jae-in on Sunday visited the home of late former first lady Lee Hee-ho,... to pay his respects and comfort her family.
Blue House Spokesperson Go Min-jung said in a press statement,... that President Moon offered his condolences to Lee's sons,... saying "we have lost a great elder."
The president highlighted the former first lady's role... in working to establish peace on the Korean Peninsula alongside her husband,... former President Kim Dae-jung,... as well as her efforts to promote women's rights.
He said he will carry on her legacy... so that her efforts will not be in vain.
