No. of people employed up 259,000 y/y in May: Statistics Korea

South Korea's overall job situation seems to be improving... with the number of newly-employed people surpassing the 200-thousand mark again.
According to Statistics Korea on Wednesday, the total number of employed in May was around 27-point-3 million...up 259-thousand on year.
This was mainly due to more new jobs in the health and social work sectors.
However, the number of jobs created in the manufacturing sector dropped again. It has been falling since April last year.
The overall unemployment rate remained the same at 4-percent.
