정전 이후 첫 감시초소 '고성 최동북단 GP' 문화재됐다

The first guard post South Korea set up along the DMZ after the 1953 armistice... is given a new official designation.
The Cultural Heritage Administration said the guard post, comprised of several buildings made of steel-reinforced concrete,... located on the border town of Goseong near the East Sea... has been designated as Registered Cultural Heritage 752.
It's around 580 meters away from where the nearest North Korean guard post stood before it was demolished.
The Goseong GP was initially going to be demolished as well after last year's inter-Korean Comprehensive Military Agreement, but it was preserved for historical reasons.
On top of the structure one can reportedly, soak in a panoramic view that includes North Korea's Geumgang-san mountain.
