Good morning. It's going to be as hot today as it was on Monday. The nation continues to swelter under an unseasonal heatwave. The first half of the week will be a scorcher, then rain on Thursday in southern parts of the country will bring down the highs, but brace for the extreme heat over the next couple of days.

Daegu and the Gyeongsang-do Provinces will be the hottest areas again with temperatures hovering around 35 degrees Celsius. The strong sunshine will boost UV rays to very high levels across much of the country. Drink plenty of water and have your sun protection items handy.

Morning lows in most parts are in the upper teens. 18 degrees in Seoul and Gwangju, it's a nice and breezy time right now, then temperatures will warm up fast.

Highs will be similar to yesterday in most areas.. Seoul at 29 degrees, Daegu and Gyeongju at 34.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
