Nation braces for hotter temperatures

Good morning. It's going to feel a lot like the end of July today. The heat will get stronger this week, we'll be sizzling under scorching temperatures.

Daegu and the Gyeongsang-do Provinces will be the hottest areas with temperatures hovering around 35 degrees Celsius. A heatwave advisory has been issued in those regions, while the air is losing its moisture with dry weather alerts in place for eastern regions.

Air quality wise, Ulsan, Daegu and parts of Gangwon-do Province will be dealing with high levels of ultra fine dust, ozone levels will be very high in southern parts of the country.

Highs will be a couple notches higher today while Busan and Jeju will have bearable temperatures at 26 degrees.

Over in Budapest, the scene of last week's tragic boat sinking, overall weather conditions will improve with lower water levels on the Danube River, and its velocity has decreased.
