South Korea's industrial output rose zero-point-seven percent last month,... thanks to increased production of semiconductors and petroleum... and stronger activity in the service sector.
According to Statistics Korea on Friday,... industrial output has now risen for two months in a row.
Semiconductor production jumped six-point-five percent in April from a month earlier, while production in the service sector edged up zero-point-three percent.
Sales growth in machinery also led to a four-point-six percent spike in facility investment.
Retail sales dropped one-point-two percent because of fewer sales of home appliances and computers.
