UK Prime Minister Theresa May announced that she will step down on June 7th.
The announcement comes on the heels of numerous failed attempts by May to come up with a Brexit plan that would earn support from parliament.
The Conservative Leadership Contest to chose the May's successor will begin the week after ther departure. Until then, the prime minister will work on the remainder of her state affairs agenda, including hosting U.S. President Trump's state visit.
