South Korea's central bank held an emergency meeting on Friday morning... to evaluate the impact of U.S.-China trade tensions and North Korea's projectile launch on the country's financial markets.
BOK governor Lee Ju-yeol said uncertainties surrounding the U.S.-China trade talks have gone up, affecting global and local financial markets.
Korea's benchmark KOSPI plunged three percent on Thursday to close at 21-02, the biggest one-day drop since last October.
Though it has rebounded and is up near 1 percent as of 11:30 AM Friday.
Recognizing market uncertainties,...the BOK chief said the bank will closely monitor the on-going trade talks between Washington and Beijing... and help stabilize markets through close cooperation with the government.
