State anti-fine dust organization led by Ban Ki-moon starts operations on Monday

As part of nationwide efforts to tackle the fine dust problem, the inauguration ceremony of the state anti-pollution organization is taking place in central Seoul on Monday.
The organization will be led by former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon... and is made up of more than 40 people including politicians, industry experts, and people whose job sectors are particularly affected by fine dust.
The organization will focus on identifying the fundamental cause of the fine dust problem prevalent from December to May in Korea, and proposing solutions to the government.
It also plans to cooperate with China and other northeast Asian countries that are suffering from fine dust.
