Korea's foreign ministry denies Kyodo news report on Seoul-Tokyo summit

South Korea has denied a Japanese media report that claimed… the Korean government requested for the leaders of the two countries to hold a summit this June.
Seoul's foreign ministry said that the two sides DID share ideas on enhancing cooperation in various fields, during the meeting with top Japanese officials on Tuesday,... but a request for a summit was not made.
The statement comes in response to a report from Japan-based Kyodo news agency that quoted a Japanese government official, claiming Seoul requested that President Moon Jae-in and Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe hold a summit on the sidelines of the G20 summit in June.
