Tens of thousands of people took to the streets across Switzerland over the weekend to demonstrate against climate change.
According to several local media outlets,... a total of 50-thousand people marched, including 15-thousand in Zurich and 9-thousand each in the capital Bern... and in Lausanne.
The marches were organized by a number of activist groups,... including Greenpeace and Swiss Youth for Climate.
The protest was in part inspired by teenage Swedish activist Greta Thunberg,... who began weekly school strikes,... calling for policy changes on the climate issue.
