Korean exports dipped 5.9% y/y in January: OECD

The downturn in global trade has caused Korea's main exports... of semiconductors, ships and petrochemicals to drop significantly.
Data by the OECD released Sunday showed Korea's exports for the month of January dipped by nearly six percent compared to the same period last year.
Exports of semiconductors were down more than 23 percent,... ships by nearly 18 percent... and petrochemical goods by nearly 5 percent.
For semiconductors, though, analysts expect a rebound in the latter half of the year.
