U.S.-backed forces declare victory over ISIS in Syria

U.S.-backed fighters in Syria declared victory over the Islamic State on Saturday,... ending a four-year battle against the extremist group that once held territory spanning a third of Syria and Iraq.
A spokesperson for the Syrian Democratic Forces announced on Twitter,... the defeat of ISIS in Baghouz... its last remaining territory in Syria.
This comes after the White House said on Friday... that U.S.-backed forces had dislodged ISIS from its last holdout in Syria.
President Donald Trump also showed reporters a map of Syria and Iraq... that indicated ISIS no longer controls any territory in the region.
