Aftab Alam was killed when unidentified assailants opened fire at him near his home in North Karachi, Dawn online reported. Alam was shot in the head in the shooting that took place near Sir Syed market. Deputy Inspector General of Police Feroz Shah said three bullets were recovered from the site.
