Reacting to the Ahmedabad court's verdict giving clean chit to the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and 62 others in 2002 Gulberg society riot case, petitioner Zakia Jafri said that she will challenge the decision in higher court.

"Won't give up fight and will challenge the verdict in higher court," said Zakia while addressing a press conference after the verdict pronounced on Thursday.

Zakia Jafri, whose husband and former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri was among 69 people killed in the Gulberg Society riots in Ahmedabad during the 2002 post-Godhra riots, challenged the SIT report.

Jafri has contended that Modi and others should be tried for their role in the conspiracy which facilitated the State-wide violence.
