NewsX: Privilege motion against General VK Singh in J&K Assembly over politicians bribing comment

In a major development to the raging controversy that erupted after the former army chief Gen VK Singh made certain remarks the legislatures from National Conference have moved a privilege motion in the JK assembly against the allegations.

The motion was received by the speaker of the assembly on the first day of the session. "I have received the motion signed by NC members and we will take it up", said the speaker of the legislative assembly Mubarak Gul.
The information was welcomed by other members of the house who wanted that a probe should be initiated in the matter. "Let there be a probe in what the General VK Singh has said, said NC member Akbar Lone.

Gen VK Singh in a TV interview had claimed that it was a practise to pay ministers in the state. This after newspaper reports revealed that Singh was involved in misusing the TSD unit. And also that the unit paid a minister of the JK govt and tried to topple the Omar abdullah government.
