A delegation of BJP leaders will meet President Pranab Mukherjee to voice its opposition to the Ordinance providing protection to convicted MPs and urge him not to give assent to what they call an "unconstitutional" measure. The Government has cleared the Ordinance to undo a two-month-old Supreme Court verdict under which MPs and MLAs would face immediate disqualification on their conviction in a criminal case with a jail term of two years.
