Calcutta High court declares 'janta curfew' in Darjeeling illegal
The division bench of chief justice Arun Mishra and Justice Joymallo Bagchi said Junta curfew is part of illegal bandh and that no one has the right to ask people to stay indoors
Mamata Banerjee's 72 hour deadline ended on Monday but the hills continue to simmer, although differently. On the first day of janta curfew not a single shop was open, neither were people on the streets.
