NewsX: Greater Noida villagers brave bullets, chase away Sand Mafia Goons

NewsX: Even as the battle between Politcians and Bureacrats continues over suspended IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal, villagers in Greater Noida put up a rare show of courage and solidarity. They took on sand mafia excavating earth from the villages to sell it off at construction sites.
Villagers fought a pitched battle with 20 goons who even fired at them but they were determined and outnumbered the goons finally chasing them away. The mafia had to run to save their life leaving behind several trucks and machinery. Though this incident took place on the same day the sand mafia killed whistle-blower Pale Ram Choudhary. It came to light only late on Friday as the police haven't registered any complaint yet.
