TTE thrashed by goons at Chandigarh Railway station - NewsX

This one is about outright abuse of power. A train ticket collector who asked a woman for a proof of her ID was given a thrashing at the next station. Because the woman he had ventured to question was the wife of a sitting judge. The incident happened aboard the Duronto Express between Amritsar and Chandigarh. When the TTE asked for a ticket, the woman refused and created a scene. And she asked the men who had come to receive her at the next station to give the TTE a thrashing. Worse the local police have refused to file a case instead asking the ticket collector to take back his complaint.
