NewsX: BJP holds a press conference in Goa. Party spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman attacks the UPA government on several issues such as Naxalism, terrorism and country's development. "UPA is handling Maoist issue in a confused and laid-back manner," she says. She adds that UPA has communalised terrorism in the country, but this "appeasement politics is never going to benefit the country".

Sitharaman says BJP has condemned the protests outside party patriarch LK Advani's house earlier on Saturday, but adds that no BJP cadre was involved in the demonstration. Advani is staying away from BJP's National Executive meet in Goa citing health reasons.

BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman says currently Narendra Modi is a member of the party's Parliamentary Board. "If party wants to give Modi any other role, it will be announced to the media," says Sitharaman during a press conference in Goa.
