New Delhi: Hours after Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar was arrested by the Delhi Police on Tuesday on charges of possessing a fake law degree, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that this was an attempt by the Narendra Modi government at Centre to destabilize the AAP government .

Calling the arrest an emergency like situation in the national capital, senior AAP leader Ashutosh said, "This is an attempt by the Narendra Modi government through the lieutenant governor to destabilize the AAP government in Delhi."
