AAP govt plans to pass resolution against Centre's notification curbing Delhi's powers
  • 5 years ago
The AAP government has planned to pass the private member’s resolution moved by MLA Somnath Bharti with a few amendments and send it to the President. This could set the stage for greater confrontation with the Centre over the Union home ministry’s notification that also clipped the wings of the city-state’s anti-corruption department. Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday had moved a resolution in the assembly against the central notification curbing the Delhi government’s powers, underscoring the ruling Aam Aadmi Party’s pressure on the Centre to give more administrative elbow room.
