After meeting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Delhi as well as leaders from the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party on Monday, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has sent his report on government formation to President Pranab Mukherjee.

The L-G in his report has recommended the dissolution of the Delhi Assembly stating that no party is ready to form the government in the national capital and all have made a pitch for fresh polls.

The L-G held consultations with the political parties in the wake of the Supreme Court putting the issue on the fast track and giving him time till November 11 to explore the possibility of forming a government.
