The mood is clear in the Opposition in Maharashtra and it is not one of compromise. Both the Shiv Sena and BJP are making fervent preparations to go alone in the Assembly polls.Shiv Sena, for its part, is inducting leaders from other political parties to strengthen its base in all 288 constituencies. In a closed-door meeting held at Nagpur with the RSS, BJP state president Devendra Fadnavis is said to have indicated that the party will contest the Maharashtra polls independently.
