Maharashtra Assembly polls Tussle: Shiv Sena-BJP in tug-a-war for seats

As the Maharashtra Assembly elections are drawing near, struggle for seats between the Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is getting intense.

In the latest development Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray on Monday refused to give way to the BJP's demand of 135 seats.

Speaking to media persons Sena Chief said-“Giving 135 seats to the BJP is not at all feasible. The talks between both the parties are still going on and we have given proposals to each other.”

Every party has a right to expand itself, our alliance has existed for the last 25 years and we want the alliance to remain he said and added that no steps will be taken that will affect the alliance.

He further added-“We are trying to find the solution and the question will end in 2-3 days.”

By saying “there is a solution for every issue”, Thackeray has indirectly hinted that both parties will reach a solution soon.

He was here to announcing the third phase of his party's vision document.
