Mamata to protest outside Parliament over FDI, diesel price hike - NewsX

After severing its ties with United Progressive Alliance (UPA), Trinamool Congress (TMC) will hold a dharna outside Parliament against diesel price hike and Foreign Direct Investment in retail. Trinamool chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee along with her supporters will protest outside Parliament on October 01. Trinamool Congress on Saturday had also said that it would table a resolution on FDI in the next session of Parliament. Trinamool Congress ministers last week resigned from Manmohan Singh government and the party withdrew its support over economic reforms, reducing the 40-month UPA-II to a working minority.
