Addressing a Trinamool Congress rally at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, Mamata Banerjee on Monday criticised the UPA government for allowing the FDI in multi-brand retail and announced plans for protests across India. Mamata Banerjee said that the UPA govt has crossed the laxman rekha over the FDI issue. "FDI in retail will take away jobs, hit our small industries," Mamata Banerjee said. Trinamool Congress might bring no-confidence motion against the UPA government during next session of Parliament, Mamata Banerjee said. "It is not a dharna, it is a protest rally. All our MPs will protest, but I have not brought anyone from Bengal," Mamata Banerjee, Trinamool supremo and West Bengal chief minister, said.
