Diesel price hike: Truckers threaten strike in WB, Kerala and TN - NewsX

Transporters in West Bengal have threatened to stop plying from today, demanding fare revisions after the diesel price hike. Taxis too are expected to go off the roads for three days from Thursday. In Tamil Nadu too, truckers have have announced an indefinite strike opposing the diesel price hike. Truckers from Tamil Nadu have stopped transportation of goods to Kerala. The All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) and the Tamilnadu Lorry Booking Agents' Federation (TLBAF) are also likely to endorse the strike call.
