Mamata ready to face mid-term polls - NewsX

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday that her party was ready to face any mid-term elections, but also made it clear that she did not want collapse of the UPA government immediately. The chief minister also reiterated her demand for granting of a three year moratorium on loan interest repayment by the Union government. "If Punjab can get special grant from the Centre, why should not we get the moratorium ?", Mamata asked, adding that it was becoming extremely difficult for her government to cope with the huge loan burden incurred by the previous Left Front government.
