Yamuna water level nears danger mark - NewsX

The water level in the Yamuna is expected to touch the danger mark on Tuesday forcing authorities to evacuate residents living in low lying areas close to the river banks. On Monday evening the water level touched the 204.48-metre mark with 52,000 cusecs of water released by Haryana at around 11 am. Officials said more water has been released from Hathnikund barrage in the afternoon and the level is expected to reach the danger mark of 204.83 metres by Tuesday mid-morning.
