Alert: Yamuna Water Level Crosses Danger Mark In Delhi

The water level of the Yamuna river in Delhi breached the danger mark. The water level touched 205.46 metres on Sunday, reaching beyond the danger mark of 204.83 metres. Till now 1500 people have been evacuated from low-lying areas and 1500 are yet to move. 550 tents have been pitched across 10 locations in the east district. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal held an emergency meeting on Saturday with top officials and put all departments on high alert. Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia took stock of the evacuation work on Sunday. A low pressure persists over western waterUttar Pradesh and its neighbouring areas.
