Ministry of Defence denying media reports that an electronic bug was discovered in the office of Defence Minister A K Antony then the External Affairs Ministry dismissing claims of a top Pentagon official that US military troops have a base in India. The government has denied that there was a bug scare in the office of defence minister AK Antony as claimed in a media report. A senior Ministry of Defence official said Military Intelligence routinely carries out checks for electronics bugs in the offices of the minister and other senior officials.
