There have been growing concerns about the South Korean economy...and latest data show the business operating condition for local small and mid-sized firms is looking grim as well.
According to the Korea Small Business Institute on Monday,... the Small Business Health Index marked.... 75-point-two points in January,... down more than five points from the previous month.
This composite index measures how companies feel about the overall economy.... and their business operating conditions.
A reading below 100 means.... there are more pessimists than optimists.
The index has been falling for two consecutive months...and the institute pointed to low domestic demand and a rise in wages as the main reasons.
