Actor Alec Baldwin suggests Trump's attack on 'SNL' sketch could be 'threat to my safety'

American actor Alec Baldwin, who plays President Trump on Saturday Night Live, has responded to the president's latest shot at the show.
In a tweet a day after Baldwin's latest impersonation, a disgruntled Trump described SNL as a "total Republican hit job" while calling for what he called "retribution" and an investigation of the show.
He followed with a second tweet, again accusing what he called the "rigged and corrupt media" of being the enemy of the people.
The actor responded by questioning whether the president's words represented a threat to his family's safety.
The father of five also questioned whether it was appropriate for a sitting president to exhort his followers to think of him as an enemy of the people.
Trump has attacked the comedy show numerous occasions and Baldwin had mostly shrugged off the attacks, but this time it seemed to have struck a different chord.
