The Shakta followers worship the Goddess Adhiparashakthi in different forms like her peaceful form as Gauri - the fair one and her fierce form as Kali - the darker one. This is something we all know but there are some forms of Shakti that not much of us are familiar with. Check them here as we display those forms of Shakti that bet you haven’t come across.

1 Goddess Adhiparashakthi is the supreme true form of Shakti that is the dynamic force.

2 The Supreme goddess has several Roopa (appearance) and a few of which are:

3 Tripura Sundari or Lalita Swaroopini is the greatest appearance of Goddess Adishakti and Mata Parvati is her complete incarnation.

4 Goddess Mookambika of Kollur temple is a single goddess worshiped in forms of Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati.

5 Sree Panchami Devi is another form of Goddess Parvati and her temple is located in Thiruvananthapuram.

6 Shyamala Devi or Matangi Devi is the mantrini (minister), who is often displayed with an emerald green complexion. Kalidasa wrote Shyamala Dandakam admiring her.

7 Chamunda, Chamundeshwari or Chandika is a fearsome aspect of Shakti and a chief deity in the battle against evil.

8 Goddess Meenakshi was an Ayonija daughter granted to a king by Lord Shiva.

9 The goddess Kamakshee is an incarnation of goddess Parvati, who is worshiped in the villages of Tamil Nadu and Goa.

10 Goddess Jayadurga is particularly worshiped in variant forms in Kanvarapady, Karnataka and West Bengal region.
