Good morning, dress warmly on your way out as a brief cold snap is here this morning with a cold wave advisory issued in the northeast regions while a dry weather advisory remains in place for most parts.

In fact, it's been a very dry winter, there's been no rain or snow at all in Seoul this month. January usually gets an average of 21 millimeters over the month.

Some welcome news, we have a mix of showers and snow in the forecast for Thursday around the country then on Sunday we have another round of nationwide showers in store... that should help us to relieve the dryness in the air. Meanwhile, temperatures will drop a bit by the end of the week but will jump right back up for the Lunar New Year holiday weekend.

Back to today's conditions, this morning's cold snap will be short lived thanks to colder winds, we should breath in clean air today. By the afternoon, we will notice a big jump in the readings under mostly sunny skies. Seoul getting up to 5 degrees Celsius, Gwangju and Busan at 10 degrees.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
