EVM used at London EVM Hackathon wasn’t of Election Commission: Former CEC Naveen Chawla

Congress leader Kapil Sibal who has been mired in controversy over an event over Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) held in London, clarified his stand over his presence at the event. He said that he was present at the event as Indian Journalists Association London (IIJA) President Ashish Ray told him about some important revelation and insisted him to attend the event so he came. “Indian Journalists Association London President Ashish Ray told me he has sent invitations to all political parties including BJP & also Election Commission. He (Ashish Ray) sent me a personal e-mail also. I told him that I will be in London for some personal work and he insisted that I should come as they are going to make an important revelation. So I went.” The event in London claimed to demonstrate EVMs used by ECI can be tampered with.
