U.S. to expand its spending on improving North Korea's human rights issues

Amid these flurry of developments,... the U.S. is planning to expand its funds for improving North Korea's human rights issues.
Voice of America reported Saturday... citing an explanatory statement on the State Department's spending bill for 2019... that 10-million U.S. dollars has been allocated for North Korea's human rights.
This is 2-million dollars up from last year's figure.
Of the 10 million,... 60-percent is to be given to the non-profit organization, National Endowment for Democracy,... and 40-percent to the deparment's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor.
This is seen as a follow-up to the U.S. State Deparment's representative for North Korean affairs, Stephen Biegun's announcement last month... upon his arrival in South Korea,... when he said the U.S. will review its policies to ease the flow of humanitarian aids to North Korea.
