S. Korean Defense Minister, U.S. lawmakers reaffirm alliance

The nation's Defense chief Jeong Kyeong-doo met with representatives of the U.S. Congressional Study Group on Korea, a team comprised of current and former American lawmakers who help keep Congress informed about the alliance.
They discussed ways to cooperate on denuclearizing the Peninsula in a peaceful manner.
The minister said he expects a meaningful result from a possible second summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump.
The American delegation reaffirmed the strong alliance between Seoul and Washington,... and pledged to continuously support efforts to peacefully achieve denuclearization of the Peninsula.
